Lufthansa further expands social networking offerings with added features to popular MySkyStatus tool

East Meadow, NY, Jan. 11, 2010 – Lufthansa has introduced additional features to
MySkyStatus.com, a social networking tool that automatically sends flight status updates to users’ Facebook and Twitter accounts. A new email option allows travelers to send updates via email, including a personalized message and the ability to select who will receive the update and when.
A new drop down feature also lets travelers share their reason for flying – an overdue vacation, family visit or business – to further personalize their postings.
MySkyStatus tracks all air carriers so that travelers of any airline can share departure,in-flight location and arrival updates no matter where they’re flying.
